National Office has been evolving since 1967.  Originally founded by Robert Schneider as an on-site electrostatic painting company, we now provide office furniture through three divisions (National Office, gen2, and Inspire Workplace Interiors) servicing not only NE Ohio, but companies all over the country.  National Office still serves as our company headquarters and retail division. We have a team of sales experts and interior designers ready to assist you.

gen2 is our second division and how our retail team is able to offer “factory direct” office furniture options. gen2 is a mid-market office furniture line consisting of workstations, wall, desks, benching, tables and storage solutions. NE Ohio customers are welcome to visit our factory showroom!

 Inspire Workplace Interiors was created with the vision of servicing our A&D community by focusing on healthcare, education and elevated corporate spaces. This showroom is in beautiful, downtown Cleveland.

Our History

1967
National Electro-Coatings
Founded in Westlake, OH under the name National Electro-Coatings, we offered on-site electro-static refinishing of metal office furniture.
1970's
Opened Sales Offices
Opening offices in San Francisco & Seattle gave us success with federal government contracts through GSA.
1980's
New Services
Our customer’s needed more furniture to match and we knew where to get it. New services involved panel refurbishing, wood refinishing, and chair reupholstering
1990
A Move & A New Name
Now that we were primarily selling office furniture, we needed a new business name and so National Office Services was born. We also moved to Lakewood, OH for more space and opened two new retail showrooms.
1997
A BIG Move
We had a vision, and needed a lot more space. In 1997, National Office moved to our present location in Brook Park, OH. This building allowed for future growth and a factory showroom.
2000
gen2 Office Furniture
Until now, we had only been remanufacturing office furniture. Now we have launched our own line of workstations, desk, tables and storage. A large investment was made in a powder coating system as well as state of the art CNC equipment. 
2010
Construction & Merged Operations
We expanded our facility by 35,000 sq. ft. with a new warehouse & distribution facility. National Office also merged with North Coast Office Furniture.  This grew our market share and added experienced sales and production staff to our facility.
2018
Inspire Workplace Interiors
To further expand our operation and better meet the needs of the A&D community, we opened Inspire Workplace Interiors in downtown Cleveland, OH.
